Sing and Sign at The Lambertville Public Library

For the past three weeks, we had a blast presenting our Sing and Sign program at The Lambertville Free Public Library in Lambertville, NJ. We covered the alphabet, colors, shapes and animals using some familiar songs and a few Junior Jam songs. A fun time was had by all. We hope to return sometime in the fall or winter.

Sing and Sign and Concert at the FTPL

For four consecutive Saturdays in June we presented our popular Sing and Sign program at The Franklin Township Public Library in Somerset, NJ. The group of 1-4 year olds was awesome. We averaged around 12-15 kids per session. We'd like to thank all of the parents and children's librarian, Anne Lemay, for all of their help. The program culminated in a Junior Jam concert on Sunday, June 23rd. Adrienne and I had a blast. We look forward to return to the FTPL soon.

Junior Jam at The Kearny Public Library

Adrienne and I were thrilled to perform yesterday at The Kearny Public Library in Kearny, NJ. Here is what Joanne Friedman, the Children's Librarian, said about our show......."Thank you very much for the wonderful entertainment on Wednesday. Your charming original songs resonated perfectly with our young families. Jeff, you and Adrienne know exactly how to connect with young minds: the introductions and instructions are crystal clear, and the activity songs are so much fun. Please come back soon to the Kearny Public Library."

Background:
After a five-year respite, Junior Jam creator Jeff Eisenberg has an inspiring new album that will most certainly have children tapping their toes and dancing to the beat. Plus the album is infused with a show tune enthusiasm that makes the sing-along quality absolutely contagious! Once again Eisenberg worked directly with producer/arranger, Michael Roberts to present an album that captures the imagination of children. In Wake Up the use of live horns including sax, trombone and even the fugal horn create very different sounds for each song.   As Eisenberg points out, “Music is a natural driving force in childrens' growth and development. Several of my songs have been inspired by my work in the speech and language therapy setting. To expand on this we have incorporated sign language into our live performances because Junior Jam performer, Elayne Kessler and myself are fluent in sign language and the children love it.”

Some of the featured songs on Wake Up include:

Happy Pants which has the message that we all have the ability to make ourselves feel better with a more positive attitude and outlook. Not just kids, but, all of us. Pickle Palace has a special place in Eisenberg’s heart because it was an original picture story written by a friend, Jim Raines. As Eisenberg points out, “When first hearing the story that Raines wrote for his granddaughters I was moved and inspired to write the song and it just rolled out naturally.” Going To The Beach truly captures the anticipation of going to the beach and how the day will be --- the production on this song is captivating as you hear the unbelievable vocals by 11-year-old Roni Caggiano.
